This program aims to encourage sustainability, stewardship and ways students can actively participate in conserving the world around them.
Life and Living 4
Teaching adaptations, life cycles and classification.
This program explores the interactions between biotic and abiotic elements of aquatic environments. Students will investigate and develop an understanding of the adaptations and reproductive strategies of living things and how these promote survival.
Junior Tourism
Teaching investigation into a tourist destination.
Discover what makes UnderWater World a unique tourist destination. Through direct observation, students will investigate interactions and marketing strategies within a tourism context.

The following programs are designed to meet outcomes for Secondary students in years 11-12.
Adaptations and Aquatic Communities
Teaching adaptations and symbiosis.
Using animal models to represent survival strategies this program teaches students to distinguish between structural, behavioural and functional adaptations while also proposing ways these assist in the survival of animals at both an individual and a species level. Relationships and their influence upon species survival will also be explored.
Dichotomous Diaries
Teaching classification.
Students investigate the human endeavour to group organisms. They will be exposed to and learn about taxonomic hierarchies, the adaptations that allow for suitable grouping and the challenges faced in achieving this.
Animal Behaviour
Teaches adaptations and animal behaviour.
This program provides an introduction to core concepts underpinning the study of animal behaviour and enables students to identify the influences of adaptations and environment.
Students begin to understand the influence of specific species behaviours on the welfare, husbandry, conditioning and training requirements for successfully managing both wild and captive populations.
Senior Tourism
Teaching investigation into a tourism destination.
Students will develop an understanding of the motivations and expectations of UnderWater World visitors and gain an insight into the marketing strategies, design requirements, and presentation of precincts that aim to ensure its’ success.
