Being Proactive!
UnderWater World is taking a proactive role in joining forces with the local community to pass on the message of conservation of the environment. This is being achieved by participating in events such as Clean Up Australia Day.
With strong community involvement we believe that we can pass the conservation message onto the wider community.
UnderWater World is a member of LLA (Living and Leisure Australia). LLA have complied a number of green initiatives which are currently in place within the business which help to protect and nuture the areas in which we operate.
Click here for further information about these initiatives.
On 10 June 2009, members of the UnderWater World Education staff were proud to help introduce the use of Bin Caps at Matthew Flinders Anglican College by talking to the student body about additional ways they can help reduce litter and increase recycling efforts throughout their community.
Matthew Flinders is only the second school in Australia to purchase these bin caps which have been shown to increase the amount of recycled litter to 70% when installed. UnderWater World commends the MFAC
Environment
Committee and the rest of its students for their ongoing efforts to reduce their own environmental footprint.
